I had read too much American history, too much about housing and transportation. I needed fiction, something that would pull me from page to page, something with a little whimsy.
24 Hour Bookstore was perfect. It hit me at the right time. It's fun, fast, and cheerful. It felt a bit like Harry Potter, for adults, and I'm cool with that.
