I never went in this place on Market Street in San Francisco, but it stands out in my memory of the city. This is near the part of Market Street that a few companies unsuccessfully tried to turn into a headquarters.
San Francisco preserves a lot of things - housing, traditions, stores, signs - and does so with an internal logic that is opaque and alternately frustrating or whimsical.
