I read Bicycle Diaries by David Byrne on

Review

What a pleasant book. It’s not quite a travelogue or a book of opinions or observations. Byrne floats between genres casually. It all just feels pretty effortless and open-minded, non-judgmental, creative in a receptive way.

Sure, there are some ideas about transit and cities, that I agreed with tremendously and you might as well, if you live in a city. And there’s a lot about other musicians, but it’s not trying to profile one musician or another, or reach for some profundity.

I really enjoyed reading it: it was nice to see the world through David Byrne’s eyes, and absorb some of his attitude toward life.
